The Problem
Kerry faced numerous safety challenges across their facility, including unsegregated personnel areas raising safety concerns about the possibility of accidents. This area required a traffic flow solution to help minimise potential risks from vehicles.
With a commitment to safety and quality standards, Kerry required innovative low-maintenance safety solutions that would address safety risks and enhance workplace safety at MHE entrance points, whilst still maintaining operational efficiency.
The Solution
After an initial WSS site visit and discussions, potential safety opportunities were identified. WSS proposed the implementation of d-flexx Polymeric Traffic Barriers, known for their durability and easily maintained modular design, with zero chance of flaking paint or rusting, aligning perfectly with Kerry’s commitment to food safety and quality.
Projected markings were introduced in high-traffic areas, providing clear real-time automated safety signage. The implemented projected safety markings were linked to MHE movement sensors, automating the safety image during the operation of the facility shutter.
The Result
The WSS Team worked with Kerry to successfully implement a series of safety enhancements that significantly improve workplace safety and operational efficiency.
