Polymeric Barriers at Terrex Manufacturing Facility
After visiting the Terex facility, WSS Advisors recommended the d-flexx range of heavy-duty industrial polymeric safety barriers.
d-flexx polymeric barriers provide greater impact protection and strength compared to metal barriers.
The Problem
Terex has a global presence in the manufacturing industry, serving various sectors such as construction, mining, and transportation.
Ensuring workplace safety is of utmost importance to Terex, they continuously strive to create safe environments for their team members and had initiated a project to enhance safety at one of their manufacturing facilities.
The existing metal barriers lacked the strength required for asset protection within an industrial manufacturing facility, along with the costly implications of ongoing maintenance and the replacement of failing metal parts.
The Solution
After visiting the Terex facility, WSS Advisors recommended the d-flexx range of heavy-duty industrial polymeric safety barriers.
d-flexx polymeric barriers provide greater impact protection and strength compared to metal barriers, being able to withstand multiple collisions.
They are easily maintained with interchangeable brightly coloured and rust-resistant polyethene pieces.
After a collision, the asset remains protected and the subject collision vehicle goes undamaged, providing a fantastic cost-effective alternative to metal safety barriers.
The Result
Following the quick and easy installation of this new d-flexx safety barrier system by their Maintenance Team, the Terex facility now benefits from a greatly increased level of personnel impact protection around their car park and manufacturing machinery.
Alongside the increased asset protection the barriers have improved personnel safety awareness and further reduced workplace risk, due to their bright highly visible design.
Additionally, the Terex facility now benefits from reducing future maintenance costs thanks to the simple yet highly effective modular polymeric barrier design.
Systems Used
d-flexx Traffic Barrier Mono PLUS
The d-flexx Traffic Barrier Mono Plus system is designed to protect medium to high traffic areas. It is a combination of of the d-flexx Traffic Barrier & Pedestrian Barrier.
d-flexx Swing Gate with Wheel
Swing doors can be positioned at any point within a barrier system and due to the fact that they can be ‘handed’ in multiple ways, they provide controlled exit points that force the user to stop whilst they open them.
A fantastic job. I was apprehensive at first, as the go to solution was galvanised handrails and posts, but this is vastly superior. It stands out, they are robust and are easily assembled in no time.
